Scene View Tools
The NSliceLayoutGroup provides several visual tools in the Scene View to help you work efficiently with your grid layout.
Visual Gizmos
Show Tile Numbers
Enable this option to display tile numbers directly in the Scene View. This helps you identify specific tiles when working with complex layouts.
Show Grid Lines
Toggle grid line visibility to see the exact boundaries of each tile in your layout. This is particularly useful when positioning objects precisely within tiles.
Interactive Features
Tile Selection
- Single Tile: Click on any tile to select it
- Multiple Tiles: Hold Shift and drag to select multiple tiles at once
- Assigned Tiles: Tiles with assigned objects appear in green
Visual Feedback
- Empty Tiles: Displayed as transparent grid cells
- Assigned Tiles: Highlighted in green to indicate they contain game objects
- Selected Tiles: Show selection highlight for easy identification
Working with Scene View
- Enable Gizmos: Use the inspector toggles to show/hide visual aids
- Navigate: Use standard Unity Scene View controls to navigate around your layout
- Interact: Click and drag directly on tiles to assign and move objects
